Five Time TripAdvisor Traveler's Choice Award Winner!

From the streetside of this quiet dead-end cul de sac in Natchez, it might be easy to miss Oak Hill which was built in 1835 but, that would be a huge mistake! The home is on the National Register of Historic Landmarks and described as a, “One and one-half story, five-bay frame residence with gabled roof, undercut gallery and frame outbuilding. Greek Revival. W. W. Wilkins Builder 1835.”

What this description does not reveal is the sweeping center hall, the high ceilings, expansive rooms, Zuber Wallpaper, Waterford Crystal chandeliers, original 1830’s locks, intact millwork, period antiques and so much more. Oak Hill was the recipient of the 2005 Restoration Award and has received the TripAdvisor Travelers Choice Award for five consecutive years! It is one of the best bed and breakfasts in the world!

The gardens are a masterpiece in their own right. The soft scents of Jasmine, Gardenias and Sweet Olive gently dance through the air while the sound of the fountain tinkling into the pond delights your ears. It is impossible to not relax on the back veranda enjoying the lush luxury of an immaculately tended garden. Take a stroll through the gardens to fully savor the experience and to stumble upon treasures such as the extensive collection of colorful water lilies that thrive under the tender care they receive.
